Hi. I have a netbook with the Intel GMA 945 and a VGA out (no HDMI).
I like to use it to watch films (output to TV through the VGA port), but one of my TVs doesn't have a VGA port.
I bought a VGA to RCA/RGB adapter thinking that I could just hook it up and it would treat the TV as an external monitor, but it doesn't. I should have known, really. There seems to *almost* be a picture there, just out of phase, which makes it even more annoying.
But is there any way to force a TV signal through the VGA-RCA cable? By manually changing the resolution and refresh rate? Or is it a lost cause?
