I have tried DVDFab, since it was the most "popular" one and it just didn't agree with me. Failure to encode on a lot of different settings. I tried Handbreak and I am impressed, and makeMKV does exactly what I want as well...but at the same time I seem to be having an unusual issue! I played strait from my DVD using windows media player and opened another window on my other monitor then put youtube on it. The Youtube version seemed to have higher quality than the DVD I put in, is that possible? It is animated and the lines seem to be much smoother on the Youtube side. It is very blocky on mine. Not to mention the colors are more vibrant on Youtube. I got the DVDs from Amazon and it was a "we build it when you buy it" sort of thing and it came in way earlier than it was supposed to.
EDIT: And just to clarify, it wasn't just some random video. It was by an actual company that is releasing the episodes online.
EDIT (Again): After more testing it looks like it is just the monitor. Despite being identical monitors the one plugged in through DVI has brighter colors.
So back to the main topic, different programs to rip these DVDs / Blu Rays!
