Hey all,

I recently performed some hardware maintenance on my PC and was running Prime 95 this morning to test everything out. However, early on in the test one of the workers stopped with a Fatal error message:

[Mar 27 09:49] Worker starting
[Mar 27 09:49] Setting affinity to run worker on logical CPU #3
[Mar 27 09:49] Beginning a continuous self-test to check your computer.
[Mar 27 09:49] Please read stress.txt. Choose Test/Stop to end this test.
[Mar 27 09:49] Test 1, 9000 Lucas-Lehmer iterations of M8716289 using AVX FFT length 448K, Pass1=448, Pass2=1K.
[Mar 27 09:50] FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
[Mar 27 09:50] Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.
[Mar 27 09:50] Torture Test completed 0 tests in 0 minutes - 1 errors, 0 warnings.
[Mar 27 09:50] Worker stopped.

Wonder if anyone can help me out here?

I haven't found where to edit my signature but my system specs are:
Gigabyte Z77-UD5H
Intel 3770k (3.5Ghz - not OC - yet)
Noctua NH-14 Air Cooled
16 GB DDR3 1600 - G.Skill RipJaw
EVGA GTX 670
Corsair AX-850 PSU
Rosewill Blackhawk case
Win7 Ultimate 64bit

Please run CPU-z and take screenshots of the CPU, Memory, and SPD tabs then attach them using the forum's image uploader (paperclip icon) in "Go Advanced".

I think you need 10 posts to do that, perhap a mod will pop in and inform us, I know thats what it takes to make a sig.

Go ahead and set the RAM to the XMP profile in your BIOS, could help stability.

Did you verify your email? When you registered, you were sent an email to verify... click on that and you should be good to go?

Setting memory to XMP did the trick.. I just ran 10 passes of Prime 95 w/o issue. I also validated my email so I think I'm set to go. Thanks for the quick help on this.

Now to save my bios profile then get to tweaking!

Sounds like its time to head off to the Intel CPU Stickies for some overclocking

Glad it was an easy fix :D

Had the same error, increased the cpu voltage a bit and modified the timming and I didn't have it anymore.
