Hi all,

I have read around the internet that streaming media from a NAS to the Xbox 360 is not possible, however if I go to system video player on the xbox it finds my NAS and lists the video files on there and plays them (all be it as long as they are in the correct format).

The thing I dont like is the user interface it basically just a file list. Is there a way to get media centre to even open without it being connected to a media PC?

Thanks

It should work if you can set up your NAS as a DLNA server.

Its a DLink DNS 320L is got a UPnP media server which I had to enable before it would work. Media centre wont even open on the xbox just gives me a code to type into the PC for a media Extender

I'm not sure if there's a way around that, it's been ages since I've had a 360.
