Ultra Wide With a Shiny new GFX Card

Looking for a new card and monitor. I have a rough few ideas but would love some input.

I will be selling both current monitor and gfx card.

CPU = 2011 i7 3930k @4.2
Motherboard =AsRock x79 Extreme 6
RAM =32GB GSkill Ripjaws. (4*8GB 1600mhz)
PSU =Corsair RM850
GFX =Evga 670 4GB Superclocked
Monitor =ASUS VG278HE 27"

New GFX
1)XFX Radeon R9 290X Double Dissipation 8GB @$599
2)EVGA GeForce GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0 4GB @$519

New Monitor
1)LG 34UM95-P 34" @$1199 understanding this is alot more in price but is it worth the extra 200ish
2)AOC U3477PQU 34" @$979
3)Philips BDM3470UP 34" @$999

Yeah get the 970. 8gb card not really worth it. Pretty much same GPU power, with less draw and heat.

970 with zero debate between those two. 4GB is plenty until you hit 4K.
