hey im doing my first mod

im building my server in a bookcase from ikea and its laminated. i was thinking about how to mount the powersupply if its getting so hot it will ruin the laminate or if its okay to mount it on the side with no spacers ?

thanks :)

I'd mount it with a couple of rubber spacers just to isolate vibration.
It shouldn't get hot enough to bother the laminate at all.

Okay cool

Do you have any suggestions were to buy stuff like that
We do not have that many shops selling modding parts here in Denmark

I've used a couple of things, all readily available at any hardware store.
Any adhesive rubber piece will work.

Or, you could also use those adhesive felt circles that are made for the bottoms of furniture.
They come in all sizes, and work very well also.

I have another build in mind were i would build the case out of plywood will any of the parts generate enough heat to dangerous or is it never going to hit a temp.so high.
Seen a lot of desktop build was wondering what materiels were used. Since manufacturers are using metals for caseings. No trouble using wood (plywood ect.)

What issues were you expecting with plywood?
There's none that I'm aware of unless you're somehow getting hot enough to start a fire with the wood or glue...
