Hey Guys,

I could use some help here. Please let me know if this is the wrong spot. Seemed fitting because it is NVIDIA related. I have an older Dell XPS 630i, with an NVIDIA GTX 285 , that I use for work. I am currently running two monitors, but would like to add a third. As I understand it I have 2 options.

DualHead2Go
Second video card.
DualHead2Go at $170 seems way overpriced. As this computer is not being used as a gaming rig, I feel like I could do better with option 2.
So my questions are
Would a second card be a better alternative?
What would be the cheapest compatible card?
How could I configure the second card to only power one monitor, and leave the rest to my gtx 285.

Below are my specs, a pic of the slots I have left, and a link to the monitors I want to have 3 of.

Are you doing anything GPU intensive at all since you're not gaming?
I'd suggest replacing that power hungry 285 with a new card.

Not a whole lot, unless having a ridiculous amount of browser windows open during the day as gpu intensive.

I'd get a GT740 or GT750 and be done with it.
You'll drop power usage WAY down, keep it to a single GPU, and be able to sell the GTX 285 to recoup some cost :)

Awesome man thanks! We've been wondering why our electric bill has been so high. This thing runs all day for work. So I guess all I'd need is an hdmi to dvi-d adapter and a display port to dvi-d adapter and this would work.

You can also just buy cables with the two different end connections you need :)
And I think the GT740 comes with 2x DVI and 1x HDMI. That'd mean you need 2x DVI cables and 1x HDMI to DVI cable.
