Hey guys, I just bought a new setup and didn't realize that my RAM speed was 1866 and the MOBO will only support up to 1600. In this instance, will my mobo just clock the RAM down to 1600 or will I need to manually go through and change some BIOS settings.

I've been doing some independent research but it seems to be a mixed answer across most websites that I'm able to find.

Additionally, most boards that do support the higher speed only do so via overclock. This may provide hope that you can get the full speed of your RAM via the BIOS.
