xp install now shareing(internet) doesnt work help please!!!

just installed xp on my test/parents system

it was shareing internet with my system (2K) now its not getting any pages

its still getting a ip adress automaticly
and printing over the network still works

and it pings right

so i dont know what it could be

any idea would be very help full

1) (just a check) is Internet Connection Sharing turned on at your rig?
2) In an XP rig, is it set that 2K rig is the defaut gateway?
3) Try to run XP "New connection" wizard. There is an option "My vomputer connects to Internet through a gateway on my LAN" or smth like that. Try it; it won't set up a new connection, prolly just modify the one you have.

okay internet shareing is on

xp rig has 192.168.0.1 as its gateway ( and i checked that thats the ip of the 2k rig)

ran the new connection wizard to no eavle

and i made sure there was no sort of firewall on or anything like that.

anymore ideas?
