Dropbox vs SkyDrive

Im currently a CE student, i do alot programming, and class papers, and usually save all of it to dropbox since i dont usually use the same computer... Usually do school things, at home/work/school so 3 different systems... So before i been using dropbox, but i just switched to windows 8 on 2 of my systems, and i been reading good things about the integration between windows 8 and SkyDrive.

Also my work machine is a Linux system, havent read about compability between sskydrive and linux.. (i dont want to use the browser)

No SkyDrive for Linux, it seems. Keep using DropBox, no need to give it all to MS.
