Low clock challenge! Superpi 32M @4Ghz!!!

Actually, it can do 1866Mhz at 10-10-10-27-1N. Should I try this one or with the 10-11-11-30-1T timings?

You could use dual channel as general memory bandwidth is much lower in single channel and this benchmark loves fast memory.

It's cool to see in this thread how each generation has beaten the previous ones! Woomack has 20+ seconds on me and it's almost completely generational. Very cool to see what Intel has done over the years.

Do you use the amd tool from the stilt? I don't recall the name...

Yes, it's called Bulldozer conditioner (Which is kinda weird since it doesn't work on the BD chips) and the latest version is 1.02, that being what I used.

If I can get a few more MHz from my RAM, I'll be doing good.... Enough.

This is on my 3570k with a bad IMC only single channel works

I think Woomack had weaved a bit of other magic in there as well

Well he is well known for having some DAMN good ram. So it doesn't surprise me that he will beat most other 4770k and 4670k submissions. I have some decent ram compared to what he runs, but I was just in diagnostic mode on Win7. If I were to get a real run in, it would be on a proper benching OS.

I have TridentX 2400 9-11-11 in that PC. It doesn't want to run much tighter at 2600 than 10-12-12 and sub timings about the same as in XMP/2400 profile ( except tRFC and tRAS which is tighter ). 2666+ 10-12-12 in Spi32/HyperPi = freeze. The same at 2600 and CL9-11-11 or 9-12-12 so can't pass Spi/HPi. It's hard to complain as it's running 100% stable @2600 10-12-12 1.65V but is not scalling good above that, no matter what voltage I use.
For the submission I only turned off antivirus and set CPU clock to 4GHz. I just don't have much additional stuff on my daily PC.

Those tridents are acting the same as my team 2400 10-12--12 they will do 2600 at stock volts and timings but won't tighten or run any higher no matter what volts, hence there on eBay now

I generally have no luck to Samsung. All my 2400 9-11-11 and 10-12-12 kits could make 2500-2600 stable but 2600-2850 only for quick AIDA64 or similar tests.
I have no idea what is in Team Xtreem 2400 CL10 or Avexir 2400 CL10 right now. Probably everywhere is Hynix. Team Vulcan 2400 CL10 was on Samsung but Vulcan after refresh is already 2400 11-13-13 on Hynix IC.
I think that the only Samsungs available in stores right now are probably TridentX and some series of RipjawsZ. All 2400 CL9 and 2600 CL10 kits are unavailable no matter what brand.

Woomack I was going to ask you if that was your new tridents guess so thought you where taking it easy on them at first, sucks they won't do any better still a dam good run
Just did some test with my 2400's@2800 pic's below need to get them at 2800@10-11-11 to break into the high 7.40's I am guessing

@Johan45 nice run specially at that speed guessing they will do mid 7.50's on IVY are those your sniper's your running?

Thanks Quick, those are some Ripjaws 1866 9-10-9 I have. I've been trying different rams in the Z87 not sure which ones I like better yet. I did manage to push the cache up to 4700 this time which I thought was cool. If I have some time tonight I might throw my 2400's in and see what they do. I've already tried to get them as tight as Woomacks but I don't seem to have the " Magic" touch on them.

It almost looks as if your score got worse when you tighened that up Quick, am I seeing that right?

You won't make it much better running single channel and I doubt you can make it run @2800 10-11-11. I think maybe 10-12-12 or 9-13-13 will be possible.
I will try TridentX 2400 CL10 kit later. It needs 1.75V to run @2600 10-12-12 but I was benching it @2800 10-12-12 1.85V+ in the past. Probably RipjawsZ 2133 C9 will make 2800 CL10 too.

@Johan45 your seeing that right third set of timing's are looser at 10-12-12 or it wont pass SuperPi
1-pic is at 10-13-13
2-pic is at 10-12-12

@Woomack I know it wont do better in single channel put i have a good idea what they would do in a fully working 3570k knowing that they do mid 7.50's with timing-9-10-10@2600 so seeing that my run was little better at 10-13-13@2800 i should see low 7.50's but to hang with all the other good ram out there I need to be in the mid 7.40's of course that's only with Ivy's

I gave the TridentX a try and my scores actually got worse, even bumped it up to 2600 10-12-12 and there was no love to be had. So I took those ECOs for another spin and managed to shave another couple seconds off. Still it makes me wonder if this CPU just doesn't like high speed ram??

PSC ram, but wont tighten any from where it is, maybe the subs might a bit but cant make nothing on the primary timings no matter what the voltage, cant grumble though as there stock 2000 9-11-9 so not too bad i suppose.

it won't work @2400 8-11-8-28 1.75-1.85V ? Are you sure it's PSC ? ... these Patriots were also on hynix and elpida bdbg at similar timings
also nice score :) ... I have to check RipjawsZ 2133 C9 or maybe one of PSC kits

Somebody gave me the heads up that they were PSC (can't remember who) and I have had them up to 1.9v and can't get a bump on none of the three timings, may be they are elpida, either way they out perform my other sets (2400 c10 & 2666 c11) I need some decent ram, time to go hunting
