I have a few questions.
I have my 1800+ at 1.67G with stock fan/heatsink
I am getting the ThermalRight SLK-800 with a 84+ CFM fan.
I dont want all the noise though, so I am going to tone down the RPMs(but want that setup, for later on, when the other people in the room move out) and use a Peltier. Now..
Should I get a Shim for inbetween the CPU and Peltier?
Is it ok to not use a shim, unlock the CPU, and place the peltier on top of the cpu?(I will be using silicone and a foam gasket when I put the Peltier on)
I am just curious what would be the best setup, and no water cooling.
If I place the peltier on top of the cpu with it being unlocked, should I place some scotch tape over the bridges?
