VID Pin Mod on P4 C1 Stepping

Hello Friends,

Just want to ask how to do the VID pin mod on the new P4 C1 stepping.

Is it the same way as this:





or does the C1 stepping have a different VID pin-out configuration?


My mobo only supports until 1.60 volts max which is pretty gay to begin with.

That diagram shows VID pins #3 and #4 connected. With the C1 stepping, that will give you 1.725v (instead of the 1.7v when the same thing is done with the BO stepping). I explain this in my sticky post article (see link). Go about half way down until you see "Important Note" in bold italic text.
