I have a MSI KT3 Ultra with onboard RIAD and I wanted to know if I could use the extra ide slots normally for the RAID as an extra place to atach another hard drive without the RAID function. Any ideas??

Yeah it should work. I dont know about that board, but in my board there was an option in the bios for the raid controller to be either in RAID or ATA configuration.
