Often when overclocking the CPU, you get to a point where it is necessary to increase the Vcore to keep the system stable.
It is not necessary if you don't reach that point.
Also, it will increase the heat generated by the CPU and good cooling is necessary.

when the pc becomes unstable and you get random reboots or crashes.
this thread should be moved to general hardware - it has nothing to do with ecs motherboards.
