case temp question

ok i installed a blow hole on the top of my case about a month ago. now i woke up this morning and the fan is speeding up, slowing, speeding up, slowing down over and over again. My cpu temp has rose from 31C to 36C. I had to cut up a molex connector to power up the fan b/c all it came with was a black and red wire. Maybe that is coming loose? Maybe PSU voltage fluctuation? I have a 350W Antec if that helps. Thank you!

Could your fan be siezing up? I know it might be a new fan but even new products get defects sometimes.
