Could someone tell me what multipliers the mobile P4 CPUs use?
Because from the intel specs they are using the same multipliers as the 400mhz desktop cpus.. which obviously can't be right.
Since I've seen lots of people using them to reach 200+mhz bus speed, at something like a 12 multi..

Do they all default to 12 on all desktop mobos?

well yeah, sometimes there is ;)

imagine a canterwood mobo that does fsb260, and a 1.7-m vs a 2.4-m...
1.7-m @ 3120... almost impossible
2.4-m @ 3120... that looks better

i got myself a mobile cause at fsb200 that will make a 2.4C without HT... all that for $60 heh :)

anyways, there are lots of p4-m's at ebay... for $60-80 usually... i´m after a 1.8-m C1, i´ll see if I can get one :)

I guess, but that kinda defeats the whole purpose.. ;)
I'll consider getting one when I get some better mem..

BTW.. anyone tried the new pentium-m on a desktop board?
