Microsoft Rumor

In a Thread found here Titan386 post links to a document which provides information about which way the Linux Kernel is heading, however it also mentions the following rumour

The rumor has it that Microsoft is uncertain whether to charge a license fee for a hyperthreaded processor as one or two CPUs.
