Increasing voltage on ram

If i increase the voltage on my ram will it allow me to use faster timings? Everytime I put my timing configuration on fast my comp crashes after a while.
 
Don't push it too high though. Check and see if your memory manufacturer has any safe range posted. For example, Muskin says it won't void the warranty if you go up to ~2.7, but higher than that is not recommended. People push their ram to 2.9+, but are usually ready to accept the risk of any damage.
