Quality SCSI cable question

How can you tell which cables are quality, and would it make a difference in speed at all? A computer guru I know pointed me to this vendor for a quality cable but their cables are very expensivehttp://www.cablestogo.com/product.asp?cat_id=1211&sku=27041 My cheap cable w/terminator went out on me last week, so should I buy cheap or go for these so called quality cables?

I've found a few Vantec cables for almost half that price with a terminator.
