My 2500+ hates higher voltages and screws up. Will i be able to obstain higher speeds with my 2000+ @ ~ 1.85 volts.

What about 2.5Ghz + @ 2 volts?

2.5 on the barton core is hard, especially for destop chips, unless u got a mobile barton then ur chances are higher.

Maybe i didnt make myself clear, the barton 2500+ tops out @ 2400 mhz with 1.7 volts, it crashes with volts over 1.85. NOTE: i have booted the barton @ 2950 with 2.15 volts but it crashes and curropts thge screen. I was wondering if the 2000+ tbread B would be faster even if higher voltage is necesary

How is that possble? I never heard anyone overclock any amd processor above 2.8 Ghz. Or do you mean 2450, where the 2950 is just a typo?

2.8 on air

I'd keep the Barton. 2.4GHz really is nothing to scoff at, and I'd doubt that you could get a 2000+ that far. The Barton's cache will probably make it feel a little snappier anyways.
