Codec Detection Software

Is there software that will open a movie file and tell you what codec it is looking for so I can go and download it?

Yeah, you can use the GSpot Codec Information Appliance...

It's a little soft that you'll find here .


But if I were you, I would Download the K-Lite codec Pack, on the same website (top left menu)... It has everything you need to play whatever movie on earth (and it also come with that GSpot Codec Information...
