my rig is in my sig. Now can I use the flashmenu thing from the abit website or will it ruin my mobo? I do not have the money to get a new one so please, is it safe to do.

Flashmenu is safe to use, ive used it about a hundred times with no problems.

I was once skeptical much like you are right now.
its COMPLETELY safe so long as you use the correct version. Make sure you get it off the mobo manufacturers website.

I've used it quite a bit myself, with no problems. Abit wouldn't make flashing so easy if it wasn't safe, I don't think.

so it completely does it under windows, no restarts needed?
then what if my bios update goes wrong and my computer does not boot? How can i get it back to the old bios?
i have never updated my bios and i am VERY VERY SCARED about doing this. Like SewerBeing said

Yep, go ahead and try it.
As long as you use the right BIOS version it's completly safe.
BIB - You do need a reboot after the flash.
