its warmer now and my computer has been stable for about a year now. Running UT2004 and i get reboots it seems when the temp reaches about 109 degrees F. I have MBM 5 log all the stuff into a text file to see what is going on. 109 seems pretty low and I am wondering if possibly it is a voltage problem or if it is infact a temperature problem

my Rig 2 is in my sig and here is the MBM 5 log

other than the fans not being hooked up to mbm 5 anyone see any problems with voltages or temps? this was the last log before the last reboot about 5 mins ago.

It isn't CPU temperature for sure, I run way more than that sometimes, and please use celcius next time as I and many other members use celcius over fahrenheit when talking about comp temps, etc.

It could always be RAM problems (I have them since one of my 512 sticks is ****)

Not too sure though, reinstall the game maybe you have a corrupted file or something *shrugs*

ok, just got another reboot, so its not the temp, i'm thkning its the voltage and maybe i need to get a new PS. but i don't know what is considered bad as far as the readings go. here is another cut n past from my mbm 5 log.

Please look at the technical forums for 2k4 at atari.

Heat is not a problem. There are MANY users reporting the same problem. It appears to be a bug that their trying to track down. One thing that is helping alot of the people is actually UNDERCLOCKING their VID cards......Before you say no you should try it as it is helping alot of folks.

If you ever get into mapping stop by my site utmaniac.com

this is just one example where it pops up. I've noticed a couple of other times it seems to restart when it starts getting into heavier loads. I'm wondering if its the PS. I'm not just saying that UT2004 is the culprit but other things like video encoding and such.

i've been looking at getting a new PS anyway so maybe it can help break the 2.3 ghz wall i'm at now anyway. we'll see though. but if anyone knows anything about voltages, do mine look ok, thats what I REALLY want to know?

ok, so is the 12v and 5v rail the +12 or -12; or +5 or -5 on the mbm readouts?
