I have 2 p4 systems loaded with winXP pro

System A is working fine, its lan connecteion is showing connected(even if i remove the wire) in the details section it has ip address n mask as well

while system B, keeps on saying .. A Network Cable is unplugged?

i tried reversing the wire but its the same ? any idea?

Computer A has only one light on its lan card .. and it is blinking (green color)

Computer B that say cable unpluged, is intel orignal board with built in intel network card, it has two lights one orange and other green, green one is blinking

i have no hub, just two computer

Does computer B have fire wire? If it does, Win XP picks that up as a network card. Perhaps it is this connection that is being reffered to. In that case, you may want to go into your network connections and disable the 1394 (firewire) connection.

I don't have Blue Tooth so this was new to me. Thanks.
