Okay so heres my system in a nutshell

Asus A7V333 Mobo (no raid)
AMD 2100xp (not OC'd because I dont know how, but i did manage to get it running at 1.73GHz)
^being cooled by the top generic brand's heatsink/fan combo at compusa... the original AMD stock fan and spreader died in about a year^
2*512 ddr pc2700 Sony ram (thermaltake heatspreads)
128mb RADEON Pro Sapphire (283.50 | 229.50)
80gb Barracuda Serial ATA
Dolby Live 5.1 soundcard

My 3D Mark scores are nothing to boast about, so I wont even get into that. But hey! I get about 100 FPS in single player Unreal Tournament 2004! Thats a plus! (if I could get more, that would be even better)

Thanks to ASUS Utility, ive been able to get some readouts for my temps on my CPU. Alls I know is that when im just chatting on AIM, I get about 52-56 degrees C. Thats sick compared to what you people out there have!

I want to cool the beast down, I know that I need to get some sort of cooling in here, I think I want to go water and im willing to spend my money on it. I wanted to know, is there a cooling block for CPU + my graphics card? I know it would be 2 separate blocks, but I wanted to know if I could cool them both down, I think my graphics card overheats.

Right now, I have the replacement fan cooling the CPU over the replacement heatsink. I have an old case fan that I hooked into the rig sitting on my Ethernet card blowing up towards my CPU, and I took the side pannel off the case, and I have an old space heater on "Cool" mode, blowing some air in to where the pannel used to be. If you can picture it... It -should- get some airflow, or atleast thats what I would think, but apparently not, says mr 54 degrees c.

Which brings be to another question. I keep freezing in graphically demanding simple games, such as The Sims, or Counterstrike. I think thats because the system runs too hot and solving the cooling issue will help me alot.

ANY THING HELPS! im so new to this and I dont really care about how much I need spend! I want to one day overclock, but if my system is running this hot, i will wait till I can cool it down. Is there some premade systems that you guys would recommend for me? Or is custom better?

Would you consider spendin that money on a new motherboard or video card? Maybe even new DDRAM? Instead of a expensive watercooling kit.... then have some money leftover for a nice heatsink like the Thermalright SP-97, or SLK-800, 900, 947 - and if you dont have much money go with the Volcano 12+ by Thermaltake.

Just my 2 cents, do what ya want man

WELCOME TO THE FORUMS :)

you say you havent overclocked yet ....i would buy a better cpu cooler (fan) then overclock youre board first ...

then when you have gone as far as you can take it, you can goto water cooling ....maybe ....you can mesaround loads yet before water cooling .......

link below cpu cooling..... you will have to see if it fits youre board first as they are big !!! i know its uk but it gives you an idia ...

Now if you still want water cooling then ......
i would buy separate but you can get kits

scrol down to Over-Clock UK DangerDen Pro [AMDWC002]

about the heatsinks and fans, you guys need to tell me what thing goes good with what. For instance, am I able to use the SP-97 with my AMD 2100xp? And If so, am I able to use it with an AMD64 754 socket?

First of all WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!!!!!!!!! Ask anything you want. that's what we are here for! Any ? on how to post some thing pm a administrator of senoir

second, go with a custom air set up much cheaper and easyer. and still very affective. below are links to sites of where to get heatsinks and fans. THE HEATSINK OF AN ATHLON XP WILL NOT FIT THE SOCKET OF THE AMD 64 CPU.

http://www.thermalright.com/ her's where to get some of the best heatsink around . look at the specs carefully to know if it will work for you, go with copper for best results.

and hers where to get some of the best fans around http://www.panasonic.com/industrial/appliance/appliance_fans_home.htm

and heres a very good site to get any computer parts needed. newegg as erned a strong place among the oc community. http://www.newegg.com/

and heres something out of a paper I'm righting that may help you

----Basic idea of cooling!
The basic idea of cooling is to remove heat from you hardware components and send it
some where safe. Usually this targets CPUs, hard drives, and video cards.
Hers my favorite analogy to think of it as:
Think of it like a highway for cars. What does the highway consist of? Cars(the heat) and
the road(the air) right. Cars(or heat)can’t travel on a bad road right(or the air)? So you
need a decent highway. Set up a good highway of air in your computer and cooling is a
byproduct. To do that the following must be achieved: What must you have to have a
decent highway? No obstructions, decent pathway, and easy bends.

-no obstructions= You know when you get construction on a high way and they close it to
one lane. remember how slow everything goes. You must make sure the path of air is clear.
Like moving wires( wether zip tying them out of the way, or sleeving them), cards(remove
unnecessary parts, move to a different slot) ,or fan grills. Small test. Put a fan in the open.
Put your hand in front of it see how much air it blows when its on. Then put it behind a fan
grill. Big difference right? I’ll go into more detail of this later on. If you using a water cooled
system you need to make sure the pipes are big enough, and there is no debris in the
system,
– decent pathway= route the highway of air where it needs to be, taking it over the items
you are trying to cool. Usually a big straight highway of air right though the middle of the
case diagonally will do the trick. But this is not always the case. Just like a highway for cars
you have to sometimes split up the traffic to get it to go where you want it to go, Or around
a obstacle that can not be moved. Insert a “Y” essentially. Do this by adding a case fan
somewhere to direct air where needed and allow it to merge into or from the mainstream of
air. For water cooling make sure the pipes are meant to flow water and are not going to
make leaks or resistence inside the pipping.
– easy bends=Have you ever noticed there are no sharp bends in highways. The same must
go for your highway of air too. Air doesn’t want to make 90 degree turns. It wants to make
slow gradual slopes. Other wise you can get air turbulence and that’s bad for noise issues
and restricts air flow.

no you cant use the same cpu fan ....with the 64 like what Fire58Mech said...its a different board all together.....

you need to search around on here allot......

if you want to change to 64...or just overclock youre 2100+ ...link below...

http://www.ocforums.com/search.php?s=

theres plenty of info out there ....have a good look round ......

i would start with overclocking youre 2100+ and go from there ......spend a small amount of money on a new and better heatsink for the cpu...

anything that says amd xp 1800+ to 3200+ and Socket A

Good choice with the AMD64 -- I def. suggest that over watercooling for your AMDXP system.
