after doing some googling, i found something quite interesting. these guys put 6 WD 74gb raptors to a RAID test thingy. its an awsome review/test i think. it answered almost all the questions that ive been trying to answer for some time now.
the only thing it didnt answer is which stripe size to use, but ive read elsewhere that for desktop/gaming, a 16-64kb stripe is the best....if and when i get a second 74gb raptor, ill be trying all stripe sizes from 16-128k to see which gives best results in the application i want: games.
all in all, its a good read and if you have the time, read it.
