Hi,

I'm trying to fix a P4 system for a friend.

2.66 ghz (533mhz i think)
512 pc2700 ram
asus p4pe board
ati 9000pro
win 2k

if i just use it normally... it goes to BSOD...

if i run p95 it hangs...and screen freezes..

It hits about 70 c at peak.. 50 at idle..sounds a bit high... but the reason is cuz the mobo is overvolting the core...it's set at 1.525v but its reading at 1.6, and it fluctuates...

Is this a problem with the heat? its 70 degress cel too much? ive also read that this mobo overstates cpu temps by about 10 deg...

also the +5v and +12v rails are both out of spec... readings of around 5.2 .. 12.3...

I think its a problem with the power management with the mobo...

kinda stumped... let me know if anyone has any suggestions before i format...thanks
