I got a new AMD Athlon 1.2, but I see people say AMD AXIA 1.33 and stuff like that what the AXIA means?

It is part of the information on the CPU core which provides you with various information ( AXIA is the stepping code )

This may be a stupid question, but I must ask anyway.....

What is a stepping code? And how does that effect the overclocking world? Is there an actual legend for each letter of the stepping code?
