Can u flash a 9700pro to a 9800pro ?

Someone told me that u can do a flash to make my 9700pro a 9800, is this true ?

I told him that the 9800 is an r350 and mine is an r300 so how could it possibly work but he said i can still do it. Can someone help me on this matter

Yah, you're out of luck. The most you can do is overclock it as much as possible.

You can flash it, but it probably won't work afterword

Actually, I read a post over at OCFaq where some dude flashed a 9500np (R300) with a 9800se (R350) bios and it appeared to still work fine. Nothing was gained by it, but it actually still worked in windows and games (which I did NOT expect!).

I've actually seen some people say they've flashed them to 9800pro (no proof of course). Why would you want to? There would be no special benefits to using the 9800pro bios even if you could do it. I've got mine running past 9800pro stock speeds..... :clap:
