They won't even run at 275 FSB. The system locks up - I didn't even bother testing max stable speeds because my Hynix CT-D43's are doing 280 FSB right now in the same system.

And I was all excited on the way home from the computer store :(

Oh well, I only paid $150 CDN ($115 USD)

I even tested them individually and they both locked up my system at around 275 FSB while using ClockGen.

A week or two ago, I picked up like 14 sticks of CT-d43's for real cheap and they all did 275 FSB stable and higher.

System Specs:

Asus P4C800-DX Rev 2.0
2.4C SL6Z3 capable of 300 FSB @ 1.55 Vcore
2.85 Vdimm
3.0-4-4-8 timings, PAT Enabled.

I don't get the markings on the sticker though. PC4300 DDR500 ? PC4300 should be DDR537.5

Look at the pic, the D5's are reated for 250 MHz.

oops ur right d5's are supposed to be the ddr500 version of the d43 chips. i have bt-d43 on the brain..

d43= ddr /400/ cas 3 d5 =ddr/500

but 275 still is decent, ive tested alot of d43 on kvr also hynix oringinals. most average about 260/265. the d43"s on my adata hyperam were real nice, they ran 290. had one stick of simpletech nito pc4000, dont know if it was d5 or d43, but it ram 310 mhz.

What brand of ram was that with the ct-d43 and what has the d-5?

Those were generic PC3200 sticks that had the CT/BT D43 chips on them. These D5's are Hynix PCB brand.

Thanks, I looked for a long time for some kvr PC2700 512MB sticks with the Hynix bt-d43, but finally gave up. I got a tip on some, at a store across town, but it was sold out before I could make it there.

Two of my local Costcos have them. They're going for $139 CDN a stick. I picked up 4 of them and was able to run prime stable @ 265 - 270 FSB, 3-4-4-8 timings with 2.85 VDimm.

I can grab you a pair if you like and ship them to you.

(Incase you're interested)
$139 X 2 = $278
$278 + 14% tax = $316.92
$316.92 CDN = $240.72 USD

Plus shipping :)
