hi, just wondering if this is normal, i recently built myself a new computer with AMD Athlon 1333 MHz 266 fsb processor and when its not overclocked, all the programs i have say the speed is 1335 MHz instead of 1333 MHz. So i was just wondering if anyone with a similar CPU knows if its normal for it to run a few MHz faster without being overclocked or did i just get lucky??

Welcome to the forums.

Yep thats normall with my 1.2 @ default setting its 9x133 when you get out the trustly calculator you can see the actuall speed is 1197. Thats basiclly what all my benchmark and programs say within 5 mhz anyway.

Wait when I check the default for the 1.3 is 10x133 right well it actually should be 1330 , well anyway its not something to worry about regardless.

1.2 9x133=1297
1.3 10x133 = 1330
1.4 10.5x133 = 1396.5

Actually, in your calculator you should enter 133.33333,
hence, 133.333333x9=1200, 133.33333x10=1333, etc.

Yeah 1335 is the norm I've seen in other programs like sisoft sandra.

Yup thats perfectly normal! The fsb on most mobos aint accurate.
Ï get nearly 2mhz fsb extra, which is over 10mhz i think:)
