I'm trying to run the latest linux client on redhat 9. I'm starting it remotely with & so I can let it run in the background after I logout. I've found that it generally runs for a few hours and then goes idle. Is there a known issue with this? I've also tried starting it normally and then pausing it with ctrl Z, and then starting it in the background with bg - same results.

hmmmm, u sure ur in the right one(seti in ur avatar 'n sig) but if ya converted recently sry, dont' know linux...

Started running it again off an on while the other two projects are down.

When you say the process is going to sleep, do you mean that the process is still running, but the cpu is idle?

TC, welcome back to the fold. I know nothing of the linux sort but definately post the log file so we can see whats going on. I am sure some of the linux folders will be around with some good answers soon enough.

Well here's the tail end of the log file. It looks fine until it finishes a unit and then it shuts off for some reason. What's more, I can't kill the client. I have to reboot the machine to kill it and restart it.

do you have a userreg setting? try switching whatever it has there, like if its yes, change to no, if no change to yes.

That sounds like the glibc issue. If you search the folding-community forums for "glibc redhat" or "client-core communications error 0x0" you'll probably find a bunch of posts about it.

That definitely appears to be the problem, but the suggestions in that thread didn't work for me. Strangely enough, I simply deleted the entire directory, downloaded a fresh copy, and it has been working fine overnight.
