Hey, will there be any problems from 'upgrading' from XP Pro to XP Home? Can I just pop in the disk and install it over the Pro version?

It is not an upgrade going from PRO to Home because of the extra networking and security conifgurations that can be done in PRO.

I order to go from PRO to Home you are going to have to reformat and install.

yeah, you would have to reformat and install... and why would you want to anyway... home only has fewer capabilities...

home cannot be a part of a domain.....home cannot support dual cpus ...IMO i think its faster (or maybe thats just on OEM machines) but its not as stable
ive heard people refer to going from xp home to win2kpro an upgrade, which i can kinda see....2k is more stripped down, more to the point, faster and stable....but what is your reason for this? just curious
