should i get a radeon 9500 to replace my ti4200-8x?

and another question... how is the 9500np 256bit compared to the 9500pro? (the np doesn't mod... gets artifacts)

or should i wait because the performance is not that great compared to my geforce4?

well i didnt know there was a 256-bit 9500 series. I know you can get a 9500 and flash it to a 9700 pro. give me a few and ill hook ya up with a link.

The performance of a 9500 pro is a bit better than that of a ti-4200, also the 9500 pro has DX9 capability, so you can actually see some of the eye candy in newer games. I actually made this upgrade myself about a year and a half ago. Its not a huge difference, but its there. But if I were you I would save up a bit more and go for a 9800 pro or 9700 pro, you can find some pretty good deals on these if you don't mind buying off of ebay or buying refurbished cards.

if your going to get a 9500 get a none pro and flash to 9700, you might want to research that a bit, im not sure which cards do and dont flash all i know is it has to be a 9500NP.

it has to be a 9500np with L shaped RAM and flashing isn't 100% it's more like 50%
Save up for a 9700/9800 or a 6800nu
