x800pro non vivo--- what happens if i connect the traces?

i know that the pipe mod is for the vivo cards. but i was looking at my GPU the other day, what if i connect the 2 dots that are cut? will i damage something? has anyone tried this on a non vivo card?

You might be able to do it, you might not. Only the early cores can be modded this way. For other cores a modded driver is needed as well as the hard mod to get around ati's security.
