Wow, Haven't been here in a long time! Good to see it still going. I had to kinda bow out of the hardware thing as money wen t through the floor. Anyhow a quick question.
I have bought some parts for a friend, namely an MSI K8N Neo Platinum Socket 754, and a Sempron 3100+ Socket 754 processor. The last K8N NEO that I bought had "Sempron Compatible" on the front in a little gold Star. It wasn't the Platinum version.
I take it the Platinum one will work with the Sempron, even though it does not say Sempron Compatible on the box? I assumed that Socket 754 was compatible with a Socket 754 processor?
I kinda need to make sure as soon I'll have to build it and also I'll have to send the other mobo back or get a new one if it's not compatible.
