I have HORRIBLE 3dMark 05 scores on my 6600GT AGP. I have I gig ram ( Pc3200) and a 3.0 GHZ prescott and I onyl get 3050. How can I raise it a lot? I run defrag and I installed Drivers and Omega and still these scores. I don't oc. Any Ideas. ( I don't OC because last time I did it I burnt out my MX440.

Your score isn't that bad... 6800's get around 4000-5000 depending on model from what I'm seeing. If you look on futuremark, your score is in the right ballpark.

350 more points is fairly simple through tweaking, and his card may not be exactly the same as yours either.

You cannot compare if your systems are not configured identically - he might be running his benchmark on a fresh install with all extraneous services shut off and you might be running on an old install full of junk with bunches of background services running. Your hardware could be different too - there are a lot of factors.

same system as you Fourevercali but terrible scores

p4 2.8
1 gig pc 3200
100+ gigs free on HD
6600gt not oc'd

2659 3dmark05 score!!!

thats over 1000 less than yours! can someone help me out and figure out why? thanks

you can probably get a score of 3000 if you oc your 6600gt to 520/1.05.you will never reach fourevercali,s scores though because his system is severely overclocked and you would probably damage your card trying to get anywhere near his scores without water cooling.

My XFX 6600GT is clocked at 560/1200 and I scored 8741 on 3DMark03 and 3574 on 3DMark05. I assume these are a little bit above average from what I've been seeing.

Though I do have to say that this card was only $215 and to be getting these scores seems like it's a very good buy.

6600GT is a great value, its 10 or 15 bucks more than the 9800 pro, yet puts out higher scores at stock. The highest my 9800 pro got in 03 was 7300 @ 470 / 800 with my 2.6C @ 3.6Ghz. 6600GT is gonna be another 9800 pro or 9500, all great value cards.

My score is in my sig... I would OC my video card, but I am scared to death of modding my cards bios.

This might seem obvious, but be sure to go into your settings and turn everything down to the best performance, especially AA and AF. Use coolbits hack as it will give you much more control on the nvidia's settings.

haha a buddy of mine hit a 568 with his p4 hahaha what a joke i was die ing when i saw his score he hade a 2.8ghz to and a a 400mx nvida hahahahah super laging

LOL, i dont have water cooling, and i run at those speeds all the time, i have stock cooling, soon to have a stasis, but i am just using some AS5 and i get no artifacts. These cards can really stand a lot of heat, so i wouldnt be worried about oC'ing.

512 PC-3500
ASUS a7n8x-e deluxe
