Well looks like its new PSU for me.

Its become obvious that my Antec Smart power 400watt isn't going to cut it and I'm already feeling it. Now the OCZ 530 watt (or was it 520?) powerstream looks very tempting but the price ($140) doesn't. I'm not a cheapskate and understand how important a nice PSU really is. However can the fortron 530watt deliver the kind of stability I need to run this beast?

fortron 530 should do you fine

I'd look at the Fortron AX500-A instead - it's more suited to your system.
