New Dual Core amd and intel chips

Just qurious since I didnt find much info on them. Estimated preformance? Did they shove 2 chips on to one soket and in truth its just like a dual cpu set up right now or is it something completly new and different? Opinions and any information are welcome

c627627's excellent roadmap pretty well sums up all we know about the dual core cpus(Toledo) AMD is cooking up. They're understandably very tight lipped about upcoming releases. I believe you have it about right though. Two cores, one package. Should be a more efficient setup than current dual cpu designs.
