after a couple weeks of trial and error i finally got my 560j stable at 240fsb with 1.5v in bios and 5:4 divder.

for a while it would only go up to 230 no matter what i did but tonight i decided to disable the c1 option under the cpu in bios.

thanks

oh i meant to add that at 230 fsb the ram is at 1:1 do you guys think the 1:1 divder is worth droping the fsb from 240 to 230?

Assuming you can run with tighter timings then, yes, it will be worth it. With corsair PC4000 i could run 250fsb, 3.5Ghz, 3-3-3-6 1:1 with my chip (see sig), but running 286FSB 4Ghz 2-2-2-5 5:4 sure was a hell lotta faster.

Well, only one way to find out.
Try some benchies the one way, then try another way.

Post results :)

My guess 240*18 = 4.32Ghz will be faster than 230*18 = 4.14Ghz
It's a 180Mhz difference, but then again 5:4 your RAM is running 192Mhz, so it will be bandwidth limited.

I say get new RAM!

i have some hyperx 3500 which i still cant run at 1:1 but it runs at 2.5-4-4-8( which i can tighten up a little more i think) instead of 3-4-4-8 . only if my board went higher then 2.85vdimm
