i have some 256mb corsair with ch-5 chips, and was wondering how much i should be able to get out of it with 2.85Vsb single channel with just 1 chip?
thanks

oh yes, they also have some pure copper heatspreaders, so they dont get that hot at all.

If your lucky 2-2-2, but most likely 2-3-2. Up to 210-215 at that, then to 2-3-3. More voltage is required to get nicer stuff.

maybe 220/230(2335)or( 2325) at 2.8. some guys are getting real good oc's with 3.2+ volts.(2.2.2.5@240+) however seems like ch5 is more susceptible to overviolting damage than bh5/6 modules

I believe my hyperX is CH-5. It goes to 226mhz with 2.75 volts. (2.5-3-3-7) Loosening timings and addiing voltage will still not help it go beyond that.

for me 240 2-2-2-10 1T @ 3.2vdimm. I took it up to 250 but I had a few memtest errors. After I get my powerstream, I'll see what they'll really do if I crank up the volts to 3.3-3.6v. My pair did do 220 @ 2-3-2-10 w/ 2.6vdimm but your results may very. I wouldn't really increase timmings to anything higher than 2-3-3 because it doesn't really seem to help.

Hey Flapper,
Do you think 3.6 vdimm is unsafe for CH-5? What about 3.4?
