I want to install Overclockix3.7 on HD's. Install like CD...
How do I set them up so I can monitor folding from XP.
I have a few machines to change over from windows98.
I know about LTSP2.1 and the terminal server option...

You'd make sure samba is running at startup. (should be by default)

Then just create a samba user (I use knoppix)

smbpasswd -a knoppix
[enter a password twice]

Map the share from windows-

\\hostname\\sharename
as user knoppix with the password you set, connect on startup option selected.

The hostname is the name of the box you picked during installation. You can find out what it is with the command- HOSTNAME

The share name on OCix 3.7 should be overclockix (whole root shared) or homes (/home shared).

Just make sure your windows computer's workgroup is called Workgroup and not MShome or something else.
