vid card time ( buying a new one )

ok guys whats the best meduim end video card I can get around $400 that will play WoW / hl2 / ut 2k4 allmost meduim to high settings ( for my mobo i own )? or should I start my new rig and buy an sli board?

There is no reason to get it with 512MB VRAM. Just buy the regular one for $250.

Well, seeing as how high quality games already use some 256MB cards to the max, (with FSAA and AF on), 512MB will be a more futureproof investment.

I agree and concur with Sjaak. i proble get the x800xl or I was thinking the nvidia card that JUST came out. the 7800.

For $400 you can buy 6800U which will play all games that you listed with highest settings, but the rest of your system will be the bottleneck.
