good day to u all....

laptop(Toshiba Tecra8100)

my problem are, drive E: F: or G: does not exist in winxp pro environment, i can only see the partition in win98se environment.... and my other problem, if i save some files or picts in winxp pro environment, in win98se environment the files or picts i saved cant be viewed or it does not exist or its garbled..... and its vice-versa.....

and my other problem, with my trial and error in partitioning, sometimes my
partitiones doubles(Ex E: (Data1), E: (Data1) ) in win98se environment, but in winxp pro, i just see one partition E: (Data1)

My Documents files are set on DATA1 drive........

i've been working on this for 4 weeks already, and i dont know what to do
anymore, please help me.....

below are some of the settings or setup i've tried using Fdisk and
Partition magic 8.....

First setting:
c: (win98se 20gig Fat32)
D: (WinXP pro 20gig NTFS)
E: (Data1 20gig Fat32)
F: (Data2 20gig Fat32)

-still having problems
-F: does not exist in winxp pro
-in drive E: files or picts does not exist if i saved it in different OS

Second setting:
C: (win98se 15gig Fat32)
D: (winXP pro 15gig NTFS)
E: (Data1 31gig Fat32)
F: (Data2 19gig Fat32)

-Still having problem
-F: does not exist in winxp pro
-in drive E: files or picts does not exist if i saved it in different OS

Third setting:
C: (Win98se 15gig Fat32)
D: (WinXp pro 15gig NTFS)
E: (Data1 15gig Fat32)
F: (Data2 15gig Fat32)
G: (Data3 20gig Fat32)

-Still having problem
-and this time F: G: does not exist
in WinXP pro Environment....
-in drive E: files or picts does not exist if i saved it in different OS

Fourth setting:
C: (Win98se 15gig Fat32)
D: (Winxp pro 15gig NTFS)
E: (Data1 50gig Fat32)

-Still having problems
-just like the other settings, the files or picts i saved in Data1 drive
cant be viewed if u saved the files or picts in different OS..... i have
to be in the OS environment where i first saved my files of picts.....

at first i used Fdisk and i thought if i use partition magic will solve my problem which it did not.....

i have the same setup with my desktop, i don't know why my laptop running differently.....

hope to hear from soon......

have you looked in Disk Management in XP? maybe you just need to assign it a drive letter.

i already tried using disk management of XP, problem is still there...... :( the 2 additional partition(each 15gig Fat32) i made in XP is not accessible in Win98SE environment, the partition is also unlabeled......

any ideas to why its acting like this?.....

thanks for ur time....... :)

hope to hear from u soon..........
