RMA'd Mobo: good as new?

My NF4 SLi DR is due back tomorrow. DFI told me they had to replace the northbridge and a bunch of other components...Puzzling, as the board was brand new. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had to RMA his/her board. I guess I'm worried this thing will never perform like a new board since it first fried and then was fixed up. What is your experience with repaired boards?
