I just got a Leadtek Winfast PX6600-LE and just poking around I read about opening up the pipeline from 4 to 8. This card does have the 128 Bit memory interface and the NV43V GPU. From what I read that is a good sign as far as what I can possibly do with it. The issue here I that I hate reliying on startup items and software to control my hardware. If I test the 8 pipe and a slight overclock and know it’s stable, can anyone point me in the right direction on where I might be able to find a BIOS flash for this card to make it a GT, or whatever model that is close but with the pipe at 8 and the clock/mem speeds in the ballpark?
I assume I am shooting for making it a 6600GT no? or are they16 pipe? Can I use the current Rivatuner to test the 8 pipe setting?
I appreciate the help, as this is not my field of expertise.
