Why the heck has AMD still not said ANYTHING about a 4000 X2???

Remember back when the first X2s came out, there was only the 4200, 4400, 4600, and 4800? Then the 3800 was released and everyone said "thats nice, but I'd rather go with a 4000". So they waited...and waited...and waited. Why has AMD not said anything (afaik) about a 4000? Why do they refuse to release one?

I think that AMD thinks they have enough depth in their line.

Sorry to go offtopic but lonewolf are you attending everlan this year in january?
 
AMD I believe has said there will be no 4000+ X2.

Theoretically, a 4000+ X2 would be 2GHz with 2x1MB cache. Well, that's exactly what an Opteron 170 is.
