Right now it’s running at 280x10 at 1.5v. My vcore reads 1.44-1.46 in MBM and 1.5-1.51 with a digital multimeter. I think I could get close to 3 GHz if I pushed the voltage higher but 1.5 is about the max I want to do.

I tried tweaking everything I could and it will not run at 2.8 with any lower than 1.5v. I guess I'm happy with this but I was hoping to be able to run 2.8 with lower vcore or get closer to 3.0 at 1.5v.

My temps are fine. It runs about 30 idle and up to 48 under load.

What is other peoples experience with CAB2E stepping chips?

My CAB2E 148 will do 2970 with 1.550v and will load at 46. It will boot into windows at 3003MHz with 1.61v but it won't pass pi 1M. Just hit a wall at 2970 I guess.

I will try giving it a good burn in and then maybe I can drop the voltage down a little bit.

My 148 CAB2E was only stable around 2750 Mhz until I took my case side panel off. The case is the Antec Superlanboy and the two 120mm Antec Fans does not blow enough air. I replaced the 120mm fans and now is at 2.9. I can get a little higher (2.97 to 3.0)if I have the side panel off but 2.9 is good enough for me.

Have good cooling case and good heatsink, you should be able to get around 2.9 to 3.1.

I am still OC'ing my 144 CAB2E 0546 FPMW, but I am sitting at 2907mHz SuperPI 32M and OCCT stable with 1.55V and temps of 30/41 idle/load. I am still running the BIOS the board came with (623 I think) and haven't touched the RAM yet, so I still have a long way to go, but considering my goal was a stable machine at 2.6-2.7Ghz I am thinking I am going to be happy with my final result. It seems like most of the CAB2E's I have seen on the net have performed similarly... 2.7-2.9-ish. One of the better steppings it seems like although I've only seen a couple of them hitting 3.0Ghz.

vogster ,
I have CABYE 0540FPBW
have you tried a divider i'm can run 273x11 9:10 vcore 1.485V (1.35x110%) & can run 264x11 24/7 11Hrs prime (user stopped) with aslightly lower vcore 1.35x104% = 1.404v. 268x11 is also occt stable but still tweaking 4 same prime score :)

I found the 9:10 divisor far easier 2 do than 1:1 timings also enables nice fast timings 2,3,3,5.

shout up if you want detail.

luck :)
