I have an Athlon64 3000+, venice core(as you may have guessed from the thread title). I noticed that cpu-z reports the core voltage to be .996v but the motherboard monitoring program that came with my motherboard(EPTP, on the drivers disc with my EPoX E9NPA3-ultra) reports my voltage at 1.45v. Which program is correct?

1.45v seems way too high for stock, i would trust cpu-z but .996v is low do you have cool n quiet enabled or something?

default voltage is between 1.35-1.4 v
u can alwais download the lastest version of cpuz

That's the strange thing. I don't have cool n quiet enabled. I'm overclocking from 18 to 2.3 ghz. That is why I'm confused.

edit: I have the latest version of cpu-z 1.32.1

try to set it manually to 1.4 v and check in windows
software voltage reporting is not accurate the best way to check it is with multimetre
but it still possible that your mobo overvolt a bit the chip .
nothink to worry about you are ok even with 1,45v :)
